Ciao Tutti !! Many Greetings from Tanzania. We want to share with you our Good news about local Genfest in Tanzania.

Genfest Tanzania, held on 13th -17th September 2024 at the Focolare center in Iringa, brought together over 100 participants from different regions of our countryside. The theme of the event was “Together to Care,” focusing on topics such as active citizenship, the value of work, helping those in need, conflict management, Ecology and peace building with diverse group of participants brought a wealth of experiences and perspectives to the discussions and activities.

The attendees, including youth, and volunteers who shared their experiences and insights, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that emphasized the belief that together, we can dream of a united world.

One of the highlights of Genfest Tanzania was the tangible impact that the participants made in their community. They engaged in activities such as fixing roads around the local area, cleaning and visiting an orphanage, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive difference in the world around them. These hands-on experiences were not only meaningful but also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among the participants.

Throughout the event, there were remarkable moments that encapsulated the spirit of Genfest Tanzania. The bonfire, where participants gathered around a fire to share stories, games and build connections, was a time of warmth and camaraderie. It was a special moment that brought everyone together and reinforced the sense of community that permeated the event. Further more each day we were celebrating Holy Mass which immersed ourselves into reflection and brightness to start our day afresh.

Overall, Genfest Tanzania was a dynamic and impactful gathering that highlighted the power of unity, empathy, and importance of coming together to create positive change. The diverse range of participants, from different regions and backgrounds, brought a wealth of perspectives and insights to the event, enriching the experience for everyone involved. As the participants left the event, inspired and motivated to continue their efforts towards building a more inclusive and peaceful society they carried with them the energy and enthusiasm of Genfest, ready to continue working towards a more united and peaceful world.

In conclusion, Genfest Tanzania served as a reminder that by coming together and supporting one another, we can overcome challenges, build bridges across divides, and create a more just and compassionate world for all.
