On the 15th of this month, members of the Focolare Movement came together at the Mariápolis Centre to celebrate Chiara’s Day, a moment to reflect on the legacy of Chiara Lubich and her vision of unity.
The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Reverend Don Zacarias Camuenho, Bishop in Luanda’s honor, adding a special spiritual significance to the gathering.
A key highlight of the day was a meditation session, where participants reflected on Chiara’s words about the continuity of her work after her passing. She once said, “It is not up to us to continue the work; we leave it to God, and He will give it to Himself.” This powerful message reminded everyone that the mission of unity and love is ultimately in God’s hands.
Following the meditation, attendees shared a meal, bringing and exchanging food as a symbol of community and fraternity. The event concluded with joyful moments of fun, where Gen3, Gen2, Focolarinos, and volunteers participated in various activities, reinforcing the bonds of friendship and shared purpose.
Chiara’s Day was not just a celebration but a renewed commitment to living out her ideals—trusting in God and fostering unity among all.
